| I fail to see the relevance. If you have lifter tick, you can replace them for ~$10 each, or you can do what I did and remove them all, disassemble them, vat them in carburetor cleaner to remove all of the oil coke which makes them either sieze up or causes the ball-valve assembly to get particulate matter in it which will cause it not to be able to seal - both failure modes are what cause lifter tick. Then reassemble them, and reinstall them. They will look new and sound new. The chemical treatment you are referring to has nothing to do with lifters as the lifters are part of the lubrication/crankcase system, not the induction system.
